Johann and Katharina

Johann, a German artist, began his creative journey through artistic gymnastics. At 16, he moved to Berlin, where he honed his skills in straps at the esteemed State Artistic School of Berlin, graduating in 2019.

Katharina, originally from Austria, started her career in acrosports before finding her passion in the world of circus at 20. She learned the art or aerial straps in Montreal under the guidance of renowned coach Victor Fomine.

While initially pursuing solo careers as straps artists, Johann and Katharina united their talents in 2022. Recognizing their shared vision for innovation, they collaborated with Oskar Mauricio Rojas as an outside eye to create Equinox.
